Greek Orthodox Community of NSW reschedules AGM for late October
The Greek Orthodox Community of NSW has rescheduled its Annual General Meeting for 27 October after their planned gathering for this past Sunday afternoon meeting failed to reach quorum.
The AGM was organised for 2pm at the Greek Community Club in Lakemba, with the organisation set to review its operations in the past year, though they fell just short of the minimum 50 participants as stipulated in its constitution.
The meeting was postponed to Sunday 27 October wherein it will be held again at its premises in the afternoon at 2pm.
The items on the agenda for the AGM are the following:
- To receive and approve the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting of 8 October 2023.
- To receive and approve the Statement of Financial position as at 30 June 2024 and the Financial Performance for the same year together with the Director’s Report and Auditor’s Report.
- To appoint Auditors for the ensuing year.
To transact such other business as may be brought before the meeting in conformity with the Articles of Association.
The organisation requested that all members renew their membership on time by paying their subscriptions at its offices (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm) or prior to the commencement of the AGM.
The GOC of NSW will be busy in the lead up to the AGM as they host the 29th Greek Film Festival of Sydney (running from 15-27 October), with commemorative events also to be held for OXI Day on Monday 28 October (7pm) and the Polytechnic Uprising on Sunday 17 November (4pm).
